November 17: Volunteer at the St. Jacobi Church in Brooklyn

Volunteers will provide critical help at the St. Jacobi Church in Brooklyn, a main hub for food and other supplies for Hurricane-stricken sites. If individuals wear appropriate shoes (work boots), they may have the option to be shuttled to the Far Rockaways, Staten Island, or Coney Island to help with manual clean up, resource distribution, or area canvasing.

Saturday, November 17, 2012 | 8:00 am
Kimmel Center Lobby | 60 Washington Square South

The group will meet in the lobby of the Kimmel Center and head out to St. Jacobi as a group. Please bring a MetroCard.

The St. Jacobi Church, located in Sunset Park, is a main donation site for food and other supplies for Hurricane-stricken sites. Volunteers will fulfil the critical roles of helping sort donations and helping load cars and bicycles that come to the church to pick up supplies to be delivered to areas in need of supplies. This volunteer opportunity is open to the public, but an RSVP by email is required.
