October 26-28: Reel China @ NYU Film Festival

The Reel China @ NYU 6th Film Biennial brings some of the most outstanding contemporary independent films produced in China to the big screen at Tisch School of the Arts. This year's selection of films and documentaries offers a keen understanding of the post-reform moment. Participating filmmakers, who range from experienced professional documentarians to young novices, present disparate visions that extend and overlap; throughout, audiences will witness the persistent presence of independent cameras that, amidst the disorienting transformations of today, assure the discovery and documentation of fragments of contemporary reality that are becoming history at breakneck speed.

A diverse program of screenings and discussions will span Friday - Sunday, October 26 - 28, 2012, at NYU's Michelson Theater,
721 Broadway, 6th Floor.

All events are free and open to the public. A photo ID is required to enter all NYU buildings. Explore the full schedule of events at the NYU Center for Religion and Media's event page.
